Why is this study being done?

To determine if the function of your blood vessels improves and if the regulation of your blood pressure changes during a period of 2 weeks, when you stop smoking.

Who is Eligible to Participate in the Study?

Men, ages 18- 40 years who are regular smokers, not taking prescription or non-prescription medications.

What is Involved With this Study?

Participation in the study will involve a screen visit, a 15 day outpatient treatment phase, which includes 2 individual visits 2 weeks apart, and a third visit in the middle of the treatment phase. All 4 visits are in the Clinical Research Unit at St. Marys Hospital.

How long will the Study run?

The study ends on December 2008. You will be in the study for about 3weeks.
