Why is this study being done?

Developing 'habits' to compensate for certain memory deficits may extend independence

Who is Eligible to Participate in the Study?

Diagnosis of amnestic Mild Cognitive Impairment confirmed by a pre-program screening
A 'program partner' who can accompany the participant to the training sessions
Live (or can temporarily stay) within reasonable driving distance to Mayo Clinic - Rochester

Minimum Age:

65

Maximum Age:

90

What is Involved With this Study?

12 one-hour training sessions to learn the daily calendar system
8 week and 1 year follow-up
Calendars are provided

How long will the Study run?

Approximately 1 year from consent to 1 year follow-up telephone contact
