Comparison of Tacrolimus and Sirolmius Immunosuppression in Kidney Transplant Patients

Why is this study being done?

The research study is being done to find out which treatment Tacrolimus or Sirolimus leads to better long-term kidney function. At the time of transplant or about 1 month later patients will be placed in one of two groups, Tacrolimus or Sirolimus

Who is Eligible to Participate in the Study?

All kidney transplant recipients from living and deceased donors between the ages of 18 and 75 may be eligible to participate in this research study.

75

What is Involved With this Study?

You will need to return for your routine post transplant visits at months 4, 12 & 24.

How long will the Study run?

Participants will be enrolled in this research study for up to 24 months.
