Mayo Clinic's Cardiovascular Research Program is conducting a research study involving patients who have congestive heart failure. This study is being done to determine if a long-term exercise program affects illness and survival.
Patients ages 18 and older
EF <35%
Recieivng optimal therapy according to the AHA/ACC and HFSA Guidlines
Sufficiently Stable by investigator judgment to begin an exercise program

Echocariogram
Exercise treadmill test
Blood draw at baseline, 3 month, 12 month
EQOL Questionairres
Clinic visit every 3 months for 2 years then annualy
If randomized to exercise training group- 36 supervised exercise training sessions
This study will last up to 4 years.
